Meadows School is open from Monday to Friday during term time.

The first day of every new term (after a school holiday) begins at 11am.

Secondary Site

Pupils are expected to be at school by 9am.

You will usually be brought to school in a taxi which will drop you off, and you can go to Breakfast Club in the gym building for something to eat before school.

Lessons begin at 09:00 and end at 15:05.

Lessons are 45 minutes long, and you will have time during your lessons to take brain breaks and movement breaks as needed.

On Friday, the school day finishes at 13:45.

Your timetable will vary depending on your year group and the day of the week.

Years 7, 8 and 9 have enrichment on a Tuesday afternoon.

Years 10 and 11 have enrichment on a Thursday afternoon.

Lunch times

Lunch is served in the main school dining room. There is always a main choice and a vegetarian option, plus jacket potatoes and salads. Dessert is a main choice or yoghurt or fruit. Should you prefer to bring a packed lunch with you then please do so. After you have eaten you can join in with different lunchtime activities which are run for you.

Assembly times

Pupils are expected to attend a daily celebration assembly during which they receive special mentions for any achievements during the school day.

Leaving the school site

Once assembly has finished pupils are expected to go straight to their taxis and leave the site promptly. The team will monitor pupils leaving the site.

16+ Site

At our 16+ centre there is a different kind of routine. Your timetable is built around the learning pathway you are on. There is the opportunity to attend a local college or other learning centre where you will be supported by Meadows School staff as much or as little as you need.

We offer courses in many subject areas including construction, animal handling, AS and A Levels, childcare and many more.

In terms of on-site learning we cover English and Maths, Outdoor Adventure activities, home cooking skills and many more.
