Pastoral
Link Workers
All pupils have a named link worker who will provide pastoral support and guidance both in and outside the classroom.
The link worker will also help create opportunities for pupils to pursue new experiences and improve their social and independence skills. These may include external courses, educational trips and independent travel training. Link working sessions take place regularly where the link workers and pupils can exchange information and talk through any issues which might arise.
Staff’s personalised, nurturing approach helps build trust. Most pupils increase their time in school so that they soon attend very regularly. This shows that pupils feel increasingly safe in school. (Ofsted 2024)
